Document Proof Best Practices

• Accept only original documents or certified copies.

• Accept only documents that are currently valid. Typical term periods for documents are less than 6months old however validity dates may prevail within the document allowing for longer validity.

• Accept only documents that are termed as “use in the community”. Such documents are commonly known as utility invoices.

• Where a document authenticity requires further validation contact the issuing authority.

• In event of further trust, requirements require at least one form of the trusted photograph via a government-approved identification body.
